The window in the Magic timeline where Magic: Legends takes place has been narrowed down, somewhat. It takes place after the “Mending,” in which the multiverse was vastly restructured and planeswalkers lost tremendous power. That much was expected, since pre-Mending planeswalkers were practically gods, so player power would be impossible to balance. Magic: Legends also takes place before Hour of Devastation, a major event in the Gatewatch’s conflict with the dragon planeswalker Nicol Bolas....

The cinematic trailers for Magic: The Gathering have been getting better and better over the past few years and this one is perhaps the most polished and well-directed yet. The trailer has moved beyond adding motion to card art and feels more like a true animated trailer. It features some of the game’s most iconic planeswalkers, which makes sense since Wizards also revealed that this set is planeswalker-themed and will feature more of the unique card type than any set ever has in the past....

The multiplayer feature of Magic Legends is a big selling point for a lot of gamers and the co-op system will allow up to three players to team up and unleash their powers together. The online co-op is an exciting inclusion and should help the game foster an active community and allow players to think through tough boss fight strategies together and make sure everyone’s individual spell libraries complement each other’s to form a powerful cohesive party....

America, while flawed in many ways, enjoys a power and wealth that is incomparable. But we seem to forget that with this power comes great responsibility, and while we may have the might to do whatever we want, a nation with no friends will ultimately be alone.
