In the clip, a mailman, who appears to be in his late 50s to early 60s, can be seen leaving a property and walking down the driveway before slipping and falling on his back, letting out a strangled yell as an object he is holding goes flying.

The video has been viewed more than 1.7 million times and the text reads “I wasn’t expecting to see this when I checked my ring camera.”

One user wrote, “Owhhh that has really hurt him im not laughing at this one” while another agreed, “Hope he is ok bless him.”

Another user said, “Doesn’t take much to make sure your drives and steps are safe for your posties.”

In July, it was revealed that Ring doorbell footage was handed over to police 11 times so far this year without consent of the devices owners.

Despite the ongoing debate about privacy, Ring doorbells have caught some of the most entertaining social media posts this year.

In this clip, which has been viewed more than 3.8 million times on TikTok, a woman explains how she used her Ring doorbell to see who was ringing the bell at 3 a.m. on multiple occasions. Turns out it was a cockroach.

In this emotional reunion, a cat that had been missing for several days from her home in Rhode Island returns and rings the door bell, then waits patiently for the door to open. Her owners can be heard laughing and crying, at one point saying, “do you have a recording of that!?”
