The Magic: The Gathering digital offerings for this week keep most of the spotlight on Zendikar Rising, but there are still some Kaladesh Remastered drafts available as well for players who are interested in more of a throwback. There isn’t a new Magic set releasing this month, which means that there aren’t any exciting pre-release events on the horizon, but hopefully the popularity of Zendikar Rising will be enough to keep the community engaged throughout the holidays.

With no big holidays coming up this week, it seems very likely that the events for the next seven days are locked in and no surprises will pop up. That said, keep in mind that it’s always possible a surprise event can show up to surprise players and offer a little extra motivation to log in and spend some money on the more accessible and modern digital version of the classic collectible card game.

Mastermind - We’ll provide a deck for you to play . . . but it has no lands in it. Instead, discard a card in exchange for a land token that will make any color of mana. Get creative, and get wins!
As always, players can also queue up for casual or ranked Constructed play at any time. Those matches are free and are the primary way lots of players attempt to climb the ranked Constructed ladder all the way up to the Mythic Tier. Reaching that level of play requires a ton of practice, play, and grinding; but is a great way to try and qualify for special tournament invites and prizes in the competitive card game.
Magic Arena is available now for PC and Mac. A mobile version is currently in development.
