The three top-rated rookies in Madden 23 are Jets corner Sauce Gardner, Lions receiver Jameson Williams and Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis — the Nos. 4, 12 and 13 picks of the 2022 NFL Draft, respectively — all given a 78 overall rating. No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker is tied for the seventh-highest rating among rookies (with six other players), at 76. Aidan Hutchinson, the No. 2 overall pick, is tied for third with a 77 rating.

As for who had the best rookies — per Madden ratings, anyway — that distinction belongs to the Jets, with three of the top 13 newcomers. The Lions have two of the top six while the Giants have two in the top 20.
